Privacy Policy

At THE LAND OWNER SHARE ("we", "us", "our") we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what information we collect when you browse listings, create an account, post a property or reel, or buy a plan on our website and mobile experience (together, the "Platform"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information You Give Us

We only ask for what the Platform actually needs to work.

• Account details — your name, mobile number, email address and password. Your mobile number and email are both login identities, so each can belong to only one account.
• Mobile verification — we generate a one-time password (OTP) and send it to your number by SMS to confirm the number is yours. The code is short-lived and is deleted from our records as soon as it is used or expires.
• Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google" we receive only your name, email address and profile basics from Google. We never receive your Google password.
• Profile details — city, pincode, preferred language, profile photo, alternate contact number, and for agents and builders: agency or company name, office address, contact person and designation, landline and website.
• KYC documents — sellers upload PAN card, Aadhaar card, business proof and (where applicable) RERA registration so we can verify that a listing comes from a genuine seller.
• Listings and media — the property, project and reel details, photos and videos you publish, including price, location and availability.
• Enquiries and messages — the contact enquiries, callback requests, site visit requests, loan enquiries, reviews and comments you submit.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

• Saved properties, compared listings and the properties you view, so we can show relevant recommendations on your dashboard.
• Views, likes and comments on reels, and clicks on a seller's contact details — sellers see counts of this activity on their own listings.
• Your IP address and browser session details, used to keep you signed in and to rate-limit login and OTP attempts against abuse.
• Essential cookies for your login session and security tokens. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account, sign you in, and let you reset a forgotten password using an SMS code.
• To publish your listings and reels, and to show them to buyers and tenants searching in your city.
• To verify sellers through KYC so buyers can trust what they see.
• To pass your enquiry to the specific owner, agent or builder whose listing you contacted.
• To process plan purchases and renewals, and to send you reminders before a plan expires.
• To send service notifications — enquiry alerts, listing approval or rejection, KYC status, and account notices.
• To detect fraudulent or duplicate listings and to keep the Platform safe.

4. What You Publish Is Public

Anything you post as a listing, project or reel — including photos, videos, property address, price, and the contact name and number you choose to display — is visible to anyone using the Platform, including people who are not logged in. Please do not include information in a listing that you would not want to be public. Your KYC documents, password and OTP are never shown publicly.

5. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• The seller you contacted — when you submit an enquiry or request a callback or site visit, that owner, agent or builder receives your name and contact details so they can respond.
• Our City Partner for your city — a City Partner can see accounts, listings and enquiries belonging to the city they operate in, so they can review listings and verify KYC locally. They cannot see data from other cities.
• Our administrators — the Super Admin team can access account and listing records to run the Platform, approve KYC and resolve disputes.
• Service providers — our SMS gateway (to deliver your OTP), Razorpay (to take payments), Google (for sign-in and maps) and our email provider. They receive only what is needed to perform that service.
• Legal reasons — where we are required to disclose information by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. Payments

Plan payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered on Razorpay's systems and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only the order reference, amount, GST and payment status so we can show your billing history and activate your plan.

7. How We Protect Your Information

• Passwords are stored using one-way hashing — nobody at THE LAND OWNER SHARE can read your password.
• Payment and messaging gateway keys are stored encrypted.
• Login and OTP attempts are rate-limited to slow down guessing attacks.
• Changing your registered email or mobile number requires your current password plus a code sent to the number already on your account, so a change cannot be made by someone who briefly has access to your screen.
• KYC documents are stored privately and are visible only to the reviewing administrator or authorised City Partner.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

8. How Long We Keep It

We keep your account and listing information for as long as your account is active. OTP codes are deleted once used or expired. If you close your account we remove or anonymise your personal details, except records we must retain for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal purposes.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• View and update your profile details at any time from your dashboard.
• Change your registered email or mobile number through the verified process described above.
• Delete or unpublish any listing or reel you have posted.
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us.
• Request account deletion. Note that listings already viewed or saved by other users may take time to clear from their history.

10. Children

The Platform is intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Listings, reels and pages may link to third-party websites, embedded videos or maps. This policy does not cover those services — please read their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on the Platform.

13. Contact Us

For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your personal information, reach us through our Contact page, or on WhatsApp at 918817404058.
